The main vision of the Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (IAPMEI) is to be a strategic partner in achieving innovation and growth for companies, entrepreneurs and business owners.
IAPMEI's mission is to promote competitiveness and business growth and to support the design, implementation and evaluation of policies aimed at industrial activity. It also seeks to strengthen innovation, entrepreneurship and business investment in companies operating in these areas under the supervision of the Ministry of the Economy, particularly SMEs, with the exception of the tourism sector and the relevant control competences assigned to the Directorate-General for Economic Activities.
