So why is this exciting news?

The European Chambers of Commerce and Industry represents over 20 million companies through 45 national and transnational members and a European network of 1 700 regional and local chambers of commerce. Having such a vast network within ours will help us spread our message further among SMEs in the EU.

What is your strategy?

Our strategy is to identify key players and grow solid collaborations so that we can inspire EU businesses to protect their business assets through intellectual property. This agreement serves to promote our initiatives and services through joint webinars, events, studies and other related activities that will impact European SMEs directly.

The main reason why SMEs do not use IP is because of a ‘lack of knowledge/information’. Building a strong collaborative network that replicates messages consistently is therefore key when reaching out to SMEs.

What does the Ideas Powered for Business network do?

The Ideas Powered for Business network stimulates and reinforces behavioural changes towards IP, innovation and growth, to strengthen existing relationships and to build new collaborations with European SMEs.

The network now comprises 10 organisations that are closely connected to European SMEs from the areas of innovation, finance, digital and accountancy and now includes the European Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
