The Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry, announces the Announcement 2021 for submission of applications within the New Business Activity Support Plan which is included in the "TH.ALEIA" Program 2021-2027 and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (Ε.Τ.Π.Α) of the EU and the Republic of Cyprus.
The Plan aims to develop, support and promote entrepreneurship by emphasizing specific population groups such as young people and women who wish to do business in any economic activity other than those mentioned in the Plan Guides, using their knowledge, experience, training and talents.
Beneficiaries:
The intensity of the sponsorship is 70% for young people aged 18-29 while for men aged 30-50 and women aged 30-55 the intensity of the sponsorship will be 60%. The sponsorship is calculated on the cost of the eligible investment costs (equipment, buildings - purchase, buildings - construction, buildings - renovation / landscaping, promotion) with a maximum eligible budget per company of € 120,000 for activities related to processing, services, e-commerce and tourism.
The total budget that will be allocated for the needs of the Plan amounts to € 30 million. This budget may be amended.
Those interested are encouraged to carefully study the provisions of the Plan Guide, the Model Application Form as well as the List of Required Documents.
The order of priority will be determined based on the order of submission of proposals (immediate evaluation) and the maximum amount of approvals will not exceed the available budget of the Call.
It is noted that applications will be accepted in the electronic System of Grant Plans (SYSHCHO) of YEEB from 17 May 2021 until 30 December 2021 or until the available budget is exhausted.
- Young men and women, men and women legally residing in areas under the exclusive control of the Republic of Cyprus for the last six months and having free access to work.
- Unemployed or employed
- Young men and women aged 18-29, men 30-50 and women 30-55
- They have not been in business for the last six months before submitting their application, ie they were not self-employed or did not participate in an active business beyond 25%
