The Bundesverband IT-Mittelstand eV (BITMi) is the only IT trade association that exclusively represents the interests of medium-sized companies. The members are medium-sized IT companies from all areas of the IT industry, most of which are owner-managed. In the association, both established IT companies and start-ups come together to find common interests. The association represents the interests of more than 2,400 medium-sized IT companies in Germany with a sales volume of several billion euros. The aim of BITMi is to accelerate company growth and productivity for IT small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and to promote market development through intensive network building. It is particularly important for the association to strengthen Germany as a location. To this end, BITMi cooperates with the Federal Ministry of Economics and gives IT medium-sized companies their own voice there. Through its membership in Digital-SME - the only European association that exclusively represents IT SMEs - the opinion of BITMi is also heard at European level. Perspectives, strengths, importance, chances and challenges of IT medium-sized companies are discussed in politics. On behalf of its members, the Bundesverband IT-Mittelstand is the contact point for end customers who want to bring themselves up to date with information technology or are looking for solutions to their problems. The association organises events, cultivates an extensive partner network, implements successful public relations and campaigns and organises knowledge transfer with universities and research institutions.
